Re: In-Game Discussion
Oh, no worries buddy! Technically, I wouldn't need to have the two of us fight together. I could have my own little fighting on the side, and then whenever you happen to jump back in is all up to you! Good luck with the move!

I'm back for now. Idk for how long but I found wifi in the new house. It's all the way on the left side of the house by the wall and it fades in and out and is very slow. It was working enough to let me post though. It's short but I tried while the wifi lasted.

I've got the story elements all set up for the first arc, I'm just waiting for characters to meet, which is on the verge of happening, but as you said, people need to post for that to happen. C'mon gang! Hurry up and post before I ban all of you!

Re: In-Game Discussion
As most of you can probably tell, I ended Book 1 with a massive post (sorry about that) that will lead into the start of Book 2. In case some of you are confused as to how we're picking this back up, it's quite simple.
Wherever your character was at when I made the final post is where he or she (I think there's only a bunch of dudes on this forum, last I checked) will pick back up in the next book. For those of you who may be just now jumping into the story with their characters, be sure to read up on any of the previous books before posting in the newest one. It helps to know what's happened already before going in and possibly
messing up story elements that have already been set in stone. If you would rather skip the minor details and just know basic information of the previous book before jumping in, just read the "In A Nutshell" thread for that book. While I highly recommend reading up on the entire story to get the richest reading experience, I realize it's a lot to read for some and is not necessary.
Something new that I plan on implementing in the second book is the use of the dice mod system. There's been lots of talk about when this would be put into effect, and I think now would be a great time to start using it now that everyone has gotten a feel for the way the game runs off of everyone's individual posts. Be sure to read up on how the dice mod works before using it ineffectively or incorrectly.
If there are any questions pertaining to the move from Book 1 to 2 or about the introduction of the dice mod system, feel free to send me a private message or take it up in the suggestions or ideas forum. I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. Other than that, have fun everyone!

Re: In-Game Discussion
So how's book 2 looking so far gentlemen? Anything you like/don't like? I'd like to take a moment to remind everyone involved in the game that this is a COMMUNITY game and that everyone is allowed to take liberties with the storytelling. Not finding anything particularly interesting going on in the story at the moment? Make some stuff happen! Create mini villains, go out on your own on a quest, the city is sprawling and huge, no need to hang around waiting for things to happen.
